JEAN CAMILO

Jean Camilo or “Gatorator” is a Colombian-American mixed-media artist and illustrator based in New Jersey. She holds a BFA in Illustration from Pratt Institute, and is currently working as a freelancer.

Guided by a punk ethos, most of her work explores myth-making, spirituality, class, monstrosity and queerness through mutating bodies, vibrant colors and bold mark-making. She finds her greatest inspiration in horrific, surrealist and expressionist art of all kinds.
